Yesterday Farah Mendlesohn and [livejournal.com profile] pmcmurray had both hinted at a strong likelihood I could blag a pass into the 'Hugo Losers' party courtesy of a good word from both of them, but could I find the right people to speak to? Nah. Still, if they wouldn't even let in the likes of Gollancz editor Malcolm Edwards of all people, it was probably a false hope anyway.

Today lunch was with [livejournal.com profile] autopope and [livejournal.com profile] feorag, in Bukowski's Bar across the street. [livejournal.com profile] fluffcthulhu wasn't with us as he was obviously still sleeping off last night's feast of high quality brains. Now back at the hotel, the beer seems to have loosened up the brain cells sufficiently to do some more on-the-run photoshopping which can be found here. I love wi-fi.

Sharing a room the last few days with [livejournal.com profile] munquie and [livejournal.com profile] pmcmurray has been good. We all get on fine and I swear I haven't heard Pat snore once, though I'm not sure they could say the same about me. We seem to wake up (somehow) at around 7am, mess around on our Macs while Pat also gets a daily call from Australia. While [livejournal.com profile] munquie and [livejournal.com profile] pmcmurray shower and get ready for a day's con-running I mostly lurk around Live Journal, resize digital pics for posting or check the only running news story worth looking at.
