Life imitates SF: Thus spake John Brunner

This is an extraordinarily spectacular fall from grace: the ever-deepening saga of an Asian scientist guilty of faking research into human cloning. More and more I find myself half-believing Brunner wrote the future*. And not just in Stand on Zanzibar — the recent Benbella edition of The Sheep Look Up includes an appendix which lists a whole raft of environmental disasters Brunner somehow predicted that have also come to pass.
