Start the Week with an old Brazilian joke
Aug. 7th, 2006 09:47 amOn the fifth day God was nearly finished creating the world when Jesus came along and asked to see his father's work. So, pointing at a group of islands, God said, "Now this is Japan. Here there will be beautiful cherry blossoms, glorious scenery and terrible earthquakes. Down here, this continent is called Africa, where there will be strange and beautiful animals, glorious scenery and terrible famine. And over here, this is Brazil. Here there will be the most incredible rainforest, the most abundant wildlife, the richest mineral resources, the most beautiful coastline and the best weather in the world."
"But isn't that a little unfair?" asked Jesus. "Why are you giving Brazil the best of everything?"
"You haven't seen the people I'm putting there."
