This year I've managed to avoid most of the seasonal commercial exploitation found on every British High Street from around late October. And I've had only one encounter with carol singers which involved any fatalities. So, a pretty good year, I'd say.
But I gotta admit last night's Channel 4 version of A Christmas Carol with Patrick Stewart as Scrooge was pretty damn good!
I must now penetrate the cold, wet and foggy wastelands of the British countryside for the obligatory seasonal visit to m'parents. If I don't report back in a few hours, please send out a search party.
