peteryoung: (Dr. Strangelove)
Which is nice: Just taking it easy and not doing much apart from reading, and waiting for completion on selling my house. Internet access is intermittent as Benji doesn't have an active phone line to her house at the moment, but I'm briefly checking mail, LJ and Flickr almost daily at a small local internet shop in Bangkok.

Black! Black!: Mum's funeral was on 9 October, and around 300 people turned up for the service. She had an extremely good send-off.

Someone's sitting there, mate: Then moving swiftly along, on 10 October Benji and I had to completely clear out the house I've been living in since 1991, and we headed off to Thailand. Hopefully my house sale will complete any day now, or at least perhaps before mid-November 2057, and I'll be able to complete the purchase of our house in Bangkok. I'll be fully connected up again soon after that.

Scorchio, scorchio: Bangkok is bloody hot this time of year.

Suits you, sir: Off work until the end of November, and we're doing a bit of ad hoc travelling. Last week we drove south to visit Benji's parents, and today we flew into Hong Kong where she's doing a training course for a week (And this decent broadband connection already feels like a small luxury). The following weekend we'll be in Chiang Mai in the north, and the weekend after that Khon Kaen in the north east.

Jumpers for goalposts, Ron: I seem to have acquired a football team. Cathay Pacific BKK F.C. asked me personally to sponsor them this year. It only means fronting up enough cash to buy their shirts, but I suspect the power will have gone to my head by the end of this month.
