Sometimes luck plays a part. I saw from a window of the 747 I was on that we were about to cross the path of a contrail at slightly higher altitude, so I went to an opposite door window hoping to get a shot of the aircraft in flight. The plane was already too far away but the contrail looked good over the mountains. I didn't know the exact location in the Scottish Highlands that we were flying over, but after tagging the photo to the flickr map by matching the shape of the loch someone also pointed out that the mountain is in fact Ben Nevis, the highest mountain in the UK. Result: a rather unique photo.
