Life is uncertain so eat dessert first

Sunset, pannacotta and wine, Zizzi's Restaurant, Reading, 24 April 2004

Every day should be passed as if it were to be your last.

Wow that does look good. Dessert wine? I went wine tasting to Odbins today then had a key lime pie in local Cafe. After almost three weeks of detox from American fruit pie heaven, it was very very good :-)

Just your regular house plonk. Zizzi is a very good Italian restaurant, except that this photo makes it look like they don't give you spoons.

Actually you've just inspired me to change the heading....

The sauce makes it look like they threw it down on the plate with force!

I love Zizzi's. The oven there looks large enough to genuinely roast a child-eating witch.

Right next to the road. Think of all those traffic fumes you ingest with every spoonful!

The book on the table is an astronomical book about the sun so I do wonder if that inspired them...

I wanted to call this 'Sunshine Desserts' but the Reggie Perrin reference would probably be lost on most Merkins (and Brits under 40).

There is thankfully very little traffic on the Kings Road on a Saturday evening, and they only usually open the big front windows on hot summer days, so one has to take advantage...

Cool!

Cheeky thing to ask - especially as I don't know where you are in the world. But thanks for the help last week.

If you are near work over the next few days, I'm due on BA28 from Hong Kong as 23.45 on Wednesday.

Hope to catch up with you soon.

Sorry this is more than just a bit 'after the event'. I only came home from Dhaka on Thursday 29th, so was unable to do anything. Hope you had a good flight anyway. I'm off to Hong Kong this evening, and again on the 14th.

Hi! As it happens they moved us to the earlier flight at the airport anyway, so it wouldn't have helped.

The flight was as ok as 13 hours can be with a movie schedule you've already seen twice :)

It's interesting to see how busy the Asia flights are compared to Seattle. I'm due out there next month too. Plus I have a great sunset in Seoul to post.
