Stayed indoors mostly as I have the beginnings of a cold (sorry,
alexmc), but I hear (or rather I didn't as I was still asleep, but I am assured that I most certainly could have) that things got considerably warmer at 6am about 30m/50km away (story here, but if it's sexy newspics you want go here).
So I've just briefly ventured outdoors, where there is a most definite petrochemical whiff in the air. Hemel Hempstead is way over to the north-east behind me, and this is the view looking west about 45 minutes ago:

Yes, it's prematurely dark and grey outside. Now here's the same picture corrected for white balance, which shows something far more representative of sunsets after (what would have been) a clear day at this time of year:

Air pollution is the reason we have such beautiful sunsets here in tropical Reading. OK I'll shut up now.
