Date: 2005-12-21 02:48 pm (UTC)BTW I meant to comment on how much I enjoyed the "BA in-slang" but I lost the thread - which I am blaming on combined lurgy and still relative newness to the whole blog thing.
When I was working at Vodafone, I was faxed the phonetic alphabet by my contact in the RAF who got a little fed up with me saying "F for Freddy" and "S for Sugar", but that was as close to slang as it got (the rest probably not suitable for public fax).
At Pepsi, we don't have anything quite so entertaining, only the irritatingly ungrammatical
"learnings" - mistakes we will try not to make next time but we're not about to get judgemental here and
"new news" - which just means news but the repetition is supposed to make it sound more important or recent than ordinary news.
