So in other news, I am beginning to suspect that inflamed knee of mine is suffering because of something more serious than just excess acid in the bloodstream, possibly being a torn ligament. If it was the former the inflammation would probably have gone by now. The whole knee hurts though it's not swollen, and I can't even put on a pair of shoes (let alone drive to work and get on a plane where I would be entirely useless). Even slightly bending it gives me pain despite all that Nurofen and Diclofenac and last night I had about three hours intermittent sleep, so if it's no better by tonight I'll arrange to get it x-rayed.

And to cap it, my repaired PowerBook has been ready for collection from the Apple Store in Regent Street for three days now, which means I'm laptop-less just when I could use it most, being confined to the sofa. Brilliant timing, huh.

Ouch!
If you want someone to collect the lap top and ferry it over, I could do so around 28/29th.

They need photo ID, so I'd have to speak to them first to let them know the arrangement. Thanks, will keep your offer in mind!

I was in there a few days ago. It was a little scary, like venturing into the headquarters of a weird cult. Couldn't find anyone who could actually answer my (very simple) question on less than two hour's notice, of course...

What creeped me out is it's identical inside to the Apple Store in Soho in New York, and therefore probably several others. And yes the Genius Bar is very disorganised, and you can't look at a computer with an eye to buying because of everyone using them to browse... [/winge]

Dang! I meant to send you a baboon as a present. Then you could have sent him to pick up the PowerBook for you.

Actually the knee sounds like a low blow indeed. I hope you can have something done about it soon.

Cheers. It's actually becoming swollen now so it definitely needs looking at.

Yes, I do suggest you behave in a more sensible manner than I did. I hurt something in my left wrist back in October and am still living with a degree of low-grade pain. It's getting better slowly but perhaps not as fast as it might if I'd sought some expert advice.

Oww, I hope your knee feels better soon. Maybe some of that beer would help...? :)

Merry Christmas, anyway!
