Good to see London completely outclass Sydney in the fireworks for once... and thanks to del_c for the company while I'm still unable to get out and about.

We were watching the BBC coverage of Edinburgh thinking "Charlie and Feorag are in that melée somewhere..."

We leave paying to be in the scrum to the tourists. Instead, we went to The Regent with edinbear, Miss Piggy and John. Just before midnight, some of us scurried along Regent Road, at the foot of Calton Hill, where there is a really good firework-viewing spot. Post fireworks, we returned to the pub...
