Denver, Colorado, 7 December 2005.
-25ºC outside, but this photo almost makes it look warm.

Sao Paulo, Brazil, 28 January 2006.
I've stripped out what little colour there was because it made little difference to the photo, everything really is this grey.

Montreal, Quebec, 13 December 2005.
My 18-55mm lens curves the horizon when at its widest. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't. Still undecided about this picture.

Great photos (as ever)! The foggy one is particularly good, and the Sao Paulo one is also rather striking.

The Sao Paulo photo is only one of about twenty I took. It was hard to make a landscape like that look interesting in any aesthetic sense unless you get creative with it.

THey're all stunning, but the first two in particular look like scenes from Bladerunner.

I think Montreal works well. I didn't know you did Denver, contact me next time you come, and we'll meet up.

Sure, that would be good. Craving any Marmite, Cheese & Onion Crisps, Branston Pickle yet?

Marmite and Bovril (and your good self of course) would be good.

I like the Toronto and New York ones a lot.

P.S. I'm working on getting you bigger BSFA images. Watch this space ...

The Montreal one is interesting for the way the curve of the foreground road interacts with the curve of the horizon. Not sure that it "works," but it gives it a pronounced swervy feeling.

Oh man... I miss Sao Paulo and Montreal! I lived in Sao Paulo for 10 years, and 5 in Montreal.

By the way, what does New York fog smell like?

Same as LA smog, just further east.

Also -- suprised to see a shot of Great Slave Lake -- not many people come up to my neck of the woods. Also gives me a clue of what business you might be in... but I'm only guessing.

Gorgeous! The NYC, particularly. I'm also v. fond of the Denver (so urban, yet cosy!), Montreal, and Kuwait shots.
