Windfall!

The Inland Revenue have just unexpectedly sent me a cheque for very nearly £2,300, with an apologetic letter saying I've been overpaying tax on my one source of income. (Solution: give me the right tax code, then). Still, good to know my anonymous tax inspector has realised that until now this has all been a selfish one-way relationship, realised the error of his ways and decided to make suitable ammends. Thank you, sir.

So before they say it's all been a dreadful mistake and ask for it back, who/what can I spend it on? Suggestions please.

May I suggest a neologism.

When reading that vague and directionless word 'misguided' when in a political context, substitute it with poodled. It makes much more concise sense, and tells it like it is.
