Shit! that was scary. I just clicked on your link, glanced at the 10 o'clock news that was talking about the iPhone and when I looked back to my computer it had a iPhone on it. First thought; 'Fu*k; they've taken over my pc!'

To be honest they won't care. I am interested in what the Windows Mobile team will be saying.

My gut feeling there is they'll be expecting Jobs to hit the same walls they did in 2002 when they made some similar extravagant claims.

From my "insider" perspective, I'm a skeptic. I don't think they have the industry experience to pull this off and have anything other than a iPod which sort of makes phone calls unreliably - at least for the next 2 years or so.

According to a recent BoingBoing article, the iPhone (if it gets to keep the name) is chock-full-of-DRM. Now, if you don't mind it, fine.

For me, a phone is a phone is a phone. My provider doesn't understand why I don't want a cellphone that doesn't play music/take pictures/browse the web. They can't understand why I get annoyed with a cellphone that doesn't work in my house/neighborhood (lousy reception).

I'm just a willing victim of the Reality Distortion Field.
