75) Thomas M. Disch, BlöödHag, Tim Kirk, Mecca | Mettle, 2005
If you're an SF fan and you haven't yet heard of BlöödHag you do not live on Planet Earth... they do heavy metal songs about science fiction writers. They've also dabbled in writing, mostly with one eye on the Golden Age and one on infamy, and the excerpts included under the title Mettle are supposedly clipped from more famous works. The most fun to be had is from the colourful histories and biographies of SF greatness the band invent for themselves. Meanwhile tomsdisch's contribution is Mecca, an unsubtle rap/pisstake of an Islamic heaven filled with virgins for suicide bombers. Illustrated by Tim Kirk with an accompanying CD... I have copy no. 298/300 so I doubt this is available any longer, anywhere. Thanks to godelescherbach for helping me get a hold of this.
