explore
Lexington Avenue, New York. Some diffuse glow, grain added. ( 20 OCT )

aerial
The Alps, Austria. ( 11 OCT )

Pilar Fernandez
Port Louis, Mauritius. ( 8 OCT )

Raoul Wallenberg Monument & the Trump World Tower, New York
1st Avenue, New York, opposite the United Nations HQ. Designed by Swedish sculptor Gustav Graitz, it consists of five pillars of black granite and paving stones once used on the streets of the Jewish ghetto in Budapest. ( 20 OCT )

night traffic
Bangkok, Thailand. 4 sec @ f/3.5. ( 27 OCT )

departure
Grand Central Station, New York. He just stood there looking out onto the concourse, as if someone had just left his life. Best viewed large, I took this barely a couple of minutes before 'explore', above. My favourite photo this month. ( 20 OCT )

distraction
City Extra Café, Circular Quay, Sydney, 2.20am. This was a difficult shot, and is actually my third attempt (after several visits to Sydney over the year) at properly capturing the café lighting at night with a decent composition: taken from outside the window looking in, once again I found I'd also caught the subject looking directly at the camera. ( 29 OCT )

constellation
Port Louis, Mauritius. ( 8 OCT )

lightscape
Circular Quay, Sydney. This would make an interesting wraparound SF bookjacket. ( 29 OCT )

payback
Muay Tiangyotha and Monsak Puangsuk, photographers, Bangkok, Thailand. ( 26 OCT )
