The first short story collection for twenty-one years from the man who brought us The Towering Inferno. Four competent short stories and one piece of faan fiction; especially good is 'Causes', an alternate history which explores the roots of terrorism, and the dystopic 'The Hunting Season', written in 1951, in which criticizing an American government has become a traitorous act. Prescient, almost.
