27) Isaac Asimov, Martin Greenberg & Joseph D. Olander, eds., 100 Great Science Fiction Short Short Stories, 1978
It's about time someone put together another 'short short' anthology (but in the meantime we still have Michael Swanwick). This inevitably has some very pleasant surprises and a couple of greats from Damon Knight; otherwise, even with editors such as Asimov, Greenberg and Olander at the helm, Sturgeon's Law applies.

Love that book! There are some gems.

I still don't get the ending of Boulevard of Broken Dreams, though.

No Ellison here... ISFDb says that's in his Strange Wine collection.

I have to say my favourite is James Thompson's 'The Amphibious Cavalry Gap', a brilliantly acute analysis of military thinking.

I believe there's an anthology of the 'Futures' stories in Nature, which would be short-shorts by definition, if 'under a thousand words' satisfies your definition of a short-short...

*checks*

Yup, it's called "Futures from Nature", published by Tor (that's Tor UK, I'm guessing...)

... about FotoLibra, in fact. I've taken zillions[1] of photos over the years, and I've sometimes wondered if I could make some money from them. How well does FL work for you ? Is this your first sale through them, or have you had a few ? Do you have lots of photos there ? Is there somewhere else I should consider first (e.g. Flickr) to attract attention (or is it "the more the merrier" in spreading photos around ?).

[1] Over 10,000 digital at 3-6 MP, a few thousand 35mm, and hundreds at 6x6.

I have around 230 photos up at fotoLibra, but I also make sure they're my most saleable. They are a non-exclusive site, which means you can sell your stuff elsewhere at the same time. I've sold a couple of pictures now but it's a slow process. Their website is excellent and they communicate well, often issuing 'photo calls' asking for pictures of particular things. You could also go for somewhere like istockphoto (http://www.istockphoto.com) where sales are mostly on a 'royalty-free' basis, which means you may sell more frequently but always for a pittance. They pay whenever your accumulated sales hit $100, so again it may take time.

You probably won't make any money via Flickr, it's really just for photo-sharing but it is also every photographer's favourite time sink. People ask for permission if they can use stuff, but rarely if ever offer money aswell.
