Flickr photo stats show that this pic of autopope has been getting some mysterious traffic lately, often in the form of referrals from pages which have no visible link to it: frequently this page over at charlesstross, sometimes these 1, 2, 3 Missile Gap reviews as well as that book's page at Subterranean Press, this Accelerando review and this Glasshouse review. Spookiest of all is The Jennifer Morgue's page at Golden Gryphon, as Charlie tuckerised my name in a short story that also appeared in that book. How all these have connected to this particular photo at Flickr is a mystery (and before you suggest 'View Source', yes I have checked out the html for each of the above and come up with nothing) so if someone knows how this happens, please explain. Some of the more explicable referrals have come from various Flickr stream widgets including one from the Portuguese science fiction site Simetria, and various searches for Orbital 2008, where the photo was taken.
