flight
777 wing at Heathrow, England, early morning. ( 19 DECEMBER )

mahout
Maesa Elephant Camp, Chiang Mai, Thailand. ( 7 NOVEMBER )

buddha
Thammarong Caves, Bang Saphan Yai, Thailand. ( 15 NOVEMBER )

the tramp
Robert Martin, actor, San Francisco. Some desaturation and selected colour. ( 6 DECEMBER )

Karen Paduang
Some teenage Karen girls from Burma in their refugee village near Chiang Mai, Thailand. The function of the brass rings is not to physically elongate the neck – which is impossible – but to push down the shoulder blades. No one is sure how this tradition came about, though I still regard it with the same unfortunate cultural imperialism that I regard foot-binding or genital mutilation. ( 7 NOVEMBER )

skylight
Tyson's Corner Center Mall, McLean, VA. ( 24 DECEMBER )

aerial
Over Mankato, MN, looking west over the Minnesota River. ( 17 DECEMBER )
PS. Yes I know it's a hoax site.

loi krathong
Nimitmai, Bangkok, Thailand. 3 seconds @ f.5. ( 12 NOVEMBER )

dead but dreaming
Wat Nong Wang, Khon Kaen, Thailand. Unusually for a Buddhist temple Wat Nong Wang has a dinosaur theme, because many dinosaur fossils were found in this area. ( 13 NOVEMBER )

lulz
Anonymous, nice person who hates Scientology, San Francisco. ( 6 DECEMBER )
