Thanks for the reminder. (And I do remember - I just felt damn angry with the world.)

And the science fiction reading helps to put his "Pleased to meet you, I'm from Mars" comment into perspective. (Said in reply to a reporter saying they were from Time, I think.) Has a different meaning than if coming from someone who doesn't read science fiction, which was most everybody in the 60s.

Yeah, quite a big fan. The intro to third stone from the sun is awesome, it's slowed down, but I have the recording in a box set - they are having a lot of laugh - pretending to be starship and shuttle crew!

Noel redding shared the interest and I find it awesome that Hendrix was an influence on Matthew Bellamy, of Muse, what must be the most sfnal music makers of this century.
