Everybody wants to be one of a small number of writers in a sea of readers. Everybody wants to be one of a small number of employers in a sea of human labour. Such wishes can't be granted to everybody. We either need an ethics of superior and inferior people, so that it's okay that most people don't get their wish, or rethink the wish.
