I seem to have acquired (probably via Greg Pickersgill) an extra copy of Bob Shaw's collection of Serious Scientific Talks, also known as A Load of Old BoSh. As this is one of the funniest reads I've had in the last few years I would like to find a good fannish home for it. Cover art by [livejournal.com profile] frostfox, layout and other stuff by [livejournal.com profile] bugshaw, [livejournal.com profile] bohemiancoast, [livejournal.com profile] miramon and [livejournal.com profile] drplokta. Slight tear on the cover, otherwise in perfect nick. Free to the first person who wants it.

See you at Eastercon?

Unfortunately not.

For the last umpty-ump years, Easter has fallen late, which has put it well inside the spring planting season. The allotment and garden (weather permitting) have therefore taken precedence.

As if that weren't enough, we're off to Australia for the whole of May (in fact, [livejournal.com profile] headgardener left for Singapore yesterday), so couldn't afford Eastercon as well.

My dear, the lovely [livejournal.com profile] flickgc has been endeavouring to get in touch with you about this evening's festivities in Brentford. Has she succeeded?

BoSh was one of the funniest fan writers ever.

Seem to have acquired?

You should have my copy wot you damaged in some way and kindly replaced. I had thought you spilled tea on it, but it night have got torn, in which case that's the one, and your good copy would perhaps have been one you bought while you were replacing mine.

I still have your old copy, which does have a small beer stain on the back cover. This one has a tear on the front and I found it this morning among a pile of old zines I received from Greg.
