I came into Reading this afternoon to clear my head and sit in Puccino's Café to get a couple of reviews finished. There was a large number of people aimlessly wandering the streets, and the café, usually empty in the afternoon, soon filled up. Turns out there was a bomb scare at Reading Station ahead of a visit by Prince Edward, and the nearest available bomb squad had to come from Hampshire. The police blocked off all roads and evacuated buildings within a 200m radius of the station, as far as Friar Street, which is basically one third of the town centre.
Am now sitting in Starbucks (using T-Mobile), wondering what else to say.
