My e-mail accounts are back. Took 'em three days to fix the problem over a Bank Holiday weekend, but what can you expect when you don't pay for it?

It's also time to total up last month's spam... another big fall: 933, compared to April's 1,374 and March's 2,794. Please explain, someone. I never received a reply from Macunlimited when I enquired if they had recently installed spam filters, so I shall simply have to ask again.

Also, paging [livejournal.com profile] coalescent: Tun on Thursday? I still have a certain dodgy video, squire...

Yes, sorry - I emailed you to say I wasn't going to make it last night, and only remembered as I was drifting off to sleep that your email is broken. I'll definitely be at the tun on thursday (along with [livejournal.com profile] snowking, [livejournal.com profile] greengolux, [livejournal.com profile] twic, and this month's special guest star [livejournal.com profile] despotliz).

I had an astonishing fall in spam not so long ago - Virgin is my service provider, and they evidently did a thorough crackdown. It's creeping back, but at a rate of >10 a day, not (as before) 300>.

E-mail down again?

Pete:

Got three "failure notices" this morning. The first for my reply to your e-mail saying that your e-mail was working (isn't that ironic!).

The second was an e-mail about a John Shirley comment regarding conventions. Here's the small version of the URL I had sent you:

<http://tinyurl.com/2h3bz>

http://tinyurl.com/2h3bz

The third was the following:

Still miss the Concorde?

Got a few quid lying around? Handy with tools? Get cracking!

<http://www.michel-concorde.com/index2.html>

http://www.michel-concorde.com/index2.html

So I guess things ain't fixed yet!!!

I'm getting a backlog of messages and bounce notices from the last few days trickling through, but yes things are back to normal. For now...

Still on for Friday/Saturday?

Yep, we're awaiting your arrival. If you get a chance (when you know!!!), let us know your time frame so we can try and plan something. For example, would you be interested in a trip to the Philadelphia Zoo or the Camden Aquarium? Or should we just concentrate on a visit at home? A run to the bookstores? Any preference on style of food (other than the major overriding style)?

Etc.

Interestingly enough, a few days ago Young Miss Laura asked when "Young Pete" was going to visit again! We hadn't mentioned the visit previous to that.

If you don't want to make a "book run", but are looking for anything in particular, let me know and I'll go see if I can find them. Also, were there any books from my duplicates that you were interested in? My addled brain says "yes", but my addled brain can't remember titles!

She's my psychic sidekick.

The aquarium sounds fun, I'm sure Laura would like that too...

You are probably already on the way, but just in case...

Give me a call tonight when you get in. If you want, maybe we can have dinner at the MP Mall at then hit the bookstore. Tomorrow, we can do the aquarium thing, and maybe some dinner, time permitting.
