Discussing baked beans with Jimmy Page
Apr. 8th, 2009 09:35 amThis is a conversation I had with Jimmy Page yesterday morning at breakfast, JFK-LHR:
JP: Yeah, a Fully Monty please. Have you got any baked beans today?
PY: Yeah, I have, strangely enough.
JP: Great. Are they Heinz? I used to live on tins of Heinz Baked Beans when I was a student.
PY: I really don't know. They're not supplied in a tin...
(PY serves one of the greatest rock guitarists in the history of the world with his Full English breakfast)
PY: ...with an extra portion of baked beans, Mr. Page.
JP (looking dubiously at his plate): Hmm. They don't look like Heinz.
PY: I think they're those barbecue baked beans the Americans go in for.
JP: Yeah, I think you're right. Oh well. We'll see how many are left on the plate when I've finished...
