11) George Orwell, Animal Farm, 1945 [ RE-READ ]
I re-read this to see what comparisons I could draw with Ella Minnow Pea in their depictions of how accepted political elites become corrupt. The answer is there aren't many, but Animal Farm is still very colourful and concise, worth picking up again to get the fires burning, justifiably a classic.

That's a fascinating selection of books.

are your readings for your work? I'm trying to find out more jobs for people who read (but don't write, or edit)

No, the only books I need to read for work are those on aeroplane safety (I'm a flight attendant). These are all casual reading.

Long Flights

What Pete fails to mention is that he spends much of his time flying across vast bodies of water. So after he sedates his passengers with low-cost drinks, he can sit down and consume a book or three during the flight as he consumes coffee to get the "oomph" required to keep turning those pages!

As usual, you have me beat. I have to blog less and read more. That plus the fact that I've added five more hours of "real work" vs. "you don't need to think to be at this job" work!
