Plan for the Day
Feb. 11th, 2004 05:30 amIt's 5.30 am in San Francisco, on my hotel room's ethernet connection. Yesterday's post-flight wind-down involved going to Borders where I couldn't resist getting Lost In Space, the new Season 1 DVD box set, that is.
When in SF I usually haunt the excellent science fiction specialists Borderlands Books, and at the other side of town (and the other side of my head) the famous 'beat generation' bookstore and intellectual mecca City Lights, where even complete outsiders like me can still go 'looking for Jack'.
But all that's for tomorrow. Today's LJ-approved excitement will involve taking the BART to Berkeley, where on the recommendation of
sbisson I will be checking out Amoeba Music and parting with far too much money, and also
del_c's SF bookshop recommendation The Other Change of Hobbit, where by then I will probably have to resort to plastic.
